Got Your Radiation Pills Yet ? : There running Out ?

Got Your Radiation Pills Yet?
March 15, 2011

VIA EPA
People are making a mad dash for iodine pills. The U.S. west coast is facing  concerns about a radioactive cloud From Japan ,experts are disagree about the risk.  Sales of these Iodine Pills are up in many areas of the world.  Considering the urgent need for these tablets right now, people need to be very careful of overdosing.
Check with your doctor before taking pills if you have some health concerns like asthma or if you are pregnant or nursing.  Potassium Iodine, or KI, can cause side effects like gastrointestinal distress (usually in children) and rashes.  The FDA guidelines say that KI is most effective if taken anywhere between three and four hours following exposure and should be only used to prevent a thyroid from uptaking radioactive iodine; it’s not a general radioprotective agent.  Are you worried about radiation exposure?

  1. Interesting... I never knew that about iodine. I know Milk Thistle is good for purging toxins. Maybe it works on radioactive substances, also. If a radiation cloud is something we need to be considered about, getting a radiation detector maybe a wise investment.
