 HA, Ha ! Maybe you guessed it , but Yes ! Leonard Nimoy (Spock from Star Trek) will be joining the Cast of Transformer for the next film. ( click the link for another Really interesting role he may play) Optimus Prime has a predecessor named Sentinel Prime, that will be voiced by Leonard Nimoy. Shia Labeouf as Sam Witwicky, Hugo Weaving as Megatron, Peter Cullen as Optimus Prime, and many our other favorites will be back, minus a thinner dark haired beauty...of course...lol ( oh well can't have it all...) 

Inside Movies states, Director Micheal Bay admits he had toyed with the idea of inviting him to play a voice in the second movie, Revenge of the Fallen, but wasn’t sure he could pay the veteran actor enough. “I was too scared to ask him,” the director says. “Plus, he’s married to Susan Bay, who’s a cousin of mine. So I had to be careful. I’ve met him at family functions. But he told me, ‘I would be honored. I’m glad to be back!’”

Bay has been open about changing course with this third Transformers movie and making a stronger story than the critically pulverized last one. He says part of that is giving the metallic characters a bit more soul, even if they’re villains. “The robots have more character in this movie. Much more. You really understand their struggle, on both sides actually,” Bay says.

The 3-D Transformers: Dark of the Moon opens July 1.

Radiation.....

U.S. reports say the readings are up and down (pretty much depending upon what news source you go to, when, what area you’re looking at, and of course, what type of radiation the source is talking about).  Now we have confirmation there are low level amounts of radiation in milk found in Washington State.

I’ve read and heard a lot about radiation in the newsand about how the levels not being serious, it’s affect on food sources, water, air, cell phones, airport scanners… and everyone is having discussions about it from ABC News to Dr. Oz.  Fantastic, I say, because as Sir Francis Bacon stated, knowledge is power.

Here are two maps showing air radiation levels in the U.S., but keep in mind, the data may vary because of what devices are used and what radiation is being measured:

The EPA has a U.S. map showing their air/radiation monitoring data.

The Radiation Network’s U.S. map is also available for people to see their air/radiation readings.

Just yesterday the EPA and FDA released a joint statement about radiation monitoring efforts.  Here’s a section of that statement that concerns me: 

“Radiation is all around us in our daily lives, and these findings are a miniscule amount compared to what people experience every day. For example, a person would be exposed to low levels of radiation on a round trip cross country flight, watching television, and even from construction materials,” said Patricia Hansen, an FDA senior scientist.

Now, no disrespect to Patricia Hansen or the FDA, but here’s my concern –

Granted most of us wander around, daily, dealing with radiation levels of all kinds, but what is the impact of all those brief, miniscule “touches” if you will, over time? Or just in succession?  In 2009, ABC News reported that Americans were exposed to 7 times more radiation than they were in 1980.  And let’s not forget about the data linking small amounts of radiation increasing the risk of cancer. 

I know people with asthma, what about them, or anyone else with chronic, respiratory type diseases?  How about my friends that don’t have microwaves, or watch TV, or fly? (Yes, I realize this may be rare but people don’t always indulge in technological advances and these scenarios do exist.) Basically…What about the American, or worldwide citizen for that matter, who is sensitive to the environment?

Week 2 of DWTS:  Surprise! 

If you're just wanting to know who is out of the running....

Last night, team Schwimmerwood was voted off Dancing with the Stars.  Mike Catherwood and Lacey Schwimmer were the first dancing duo to have to bow out of the contest, which was gracefully done.

Grammy nominee Chris Brown lit up the floor literally with two performances last night.  Yeah 3X was the first number and later he performed “Forever.”  :: check ABC for the has the complete performences.

 DWTS fans see weight loss results all the time over the course of the shows from stars like Marie Osmond,  many others.

Dancing, experts suggest,  is a great way to reduce stress, lose weight and even in some cases, 'busting a move' can prevent diseases. Could you upbeat demeanor be tied to all the fancy moves you can put down?

The Nintendo 3DS is out and fans are excited.  One of the biggest fans of all, Isaiah Triforce Johnson, was reportedly in line for the device around a full week prior to the release at the Union Square Best Buy.  Unfortunately, there was some controversy over his enthusiasm for the tech toy, but it seems things worked out and he was THE FIRST to receive the 3DS from Reggie Fils-Aime, president of Nintendo of America.

There is one drawback to the device being reported by USA Today and others - a ‘black screen of death,’ however so far it doesn’t appear to be a widespread issue.  Check out the game titles available the device.  Will you be playing one?

Inception, Harrry Potter and the Sorcerer's Stone ,

Harry Potter and the Chamber of Secrets, Life as We Know It , and Yogi Bear will be available via there facbook pages starting @ 10 PM p.s.t.. Warner Bros. announced it's test of streaming films on facebook. So, this is how it will work according to Facebook: go to the movies offical facebook page, then click the " watch now" Icon ,Pay using facebook credits, now you will have 48 hours to watch the movie though Facebook.

Now regrading Facebook Credits, pc magazine says, "Harry Potter will set users back 30 Facebook Credits ($3), while the other four titles will cost 40 Facebook Credits ($4)."

Digital Distribution. “These titles have substantial followings on Facebook. The Fan Pages for ‘Harry Potter’ and ‘Inception’ alone are two of the most popular and active communities on the site.”

Fans will have full control over the film while watching it through their Facebook account for up to 48 hours from purchase. They can choose to watch it in full screen, pause the movie, and resume playing it when they log back into Facebook. Consumers will also have full Facebook functionality including the ability to post comments on the movie, interact with friends and update their status.

Walt Disney Pictures’ adaptation of the Wizard of Oz prequel, “Oz: the Great and Powerful” will star Oscar nominee James Frano and “Black Swan” Golden Globe nominee star Mila Kunis.

Kunis is cast for the role of Theodora, originally a good witch, but later turns to evil once her romantic advancements are rejected.  Sam Raimi will direct this classic American fantasy.

According to Variety, there are witch sister roles still up for grabs, and actresses in the running include Olivia Wilde, Amy Adams, Kate Beckinsale, Keira Knightley and Rebecca Hall.

That's right ! They have teamed up with a Tony a Tony ,Award winning Producer named Robert Lopez who co-wrote, Avenue Q. So,the idea came from Trey Parker. According to the Hollywood Reporter Trey says ,
Growing up in Colorado, next door to Utah, Parker and Stone had long been familiar with the Mormon church and its members; Parker even dated a Mormon girl and was badly hurt when she ditched him.,which were guessing was the inspiration for the "Mormon episode" on South Park ....for who remember or click this link...sing with us ....Ready sing.... At 41, he ( Trey Parker) is no longer the enfant terrible who became notorious for lampooning everyone and everything — from Tom Cruise to Paris Hilton to Muhammad — and, along with Stone, even appearing in a dress at the Oscars. Rather, there’s a high seriousness to him that might surprise South Park aficionados.

On producer Scott Rudin’s advice, Parker and Stone went to see the writer-composer’s Tony-winning Avenue Q, then took him for a drink.
“Bobby said, ‘I want to do something about Joseph Smith,’ ” recalls Stone, the younger and more extroverted of the South Park duo, referrring to the founder of the Mormon religion. “And we were like: ‘Wait! We want to do something about Joseph Smith!’ ” Ready sing.... (Melody: dum, dum, dum,dum,dum) !

In 2006, Parker and Stone flew to London, where they spent three weeks with Lopez while he was working on the West End production of Avenue Q. “We wrote four or five songs and came up with the basic germ of the idea there — that they would go somewhere not Salt Lake City-like,” Parker recalls.
During the next few years, the trio met frequently to develop what they initially called The Book of Mormon: The Musical of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints.

She had such a rich and incredible life, it's hard to write about it all. 

Her mom, Actress Sara southern

She was born in to acting though her mom , was able to connect early with every major studio because of her beauty and acting, became Cleopatra, became deeply involved with the AIDS movement for a cure because of her friendship with Rock Hudson, befriended Micheal Jackson, had 8 marriages, and became an business woman introducing us to her 3 perfumes lines " white diamonds" being the most famous of the 3, named so because of her passion for Jewelry, ie the 69.42 carat taylor-burton diamond , and  50 carat La Peregrine Pearl ......Whew....not that's a LIFE !

Now you see what I meant and that's just the stuff we know or was publicized. So with a Life like she lived we should be able to find some inspiration and lessons from Dame Elizabeth Rosemond Taylor.

Enjoy getting to know the POSITIVES OF her as we watch all the tributes ....and giving honor to what she passed on to US.

Mississippi native, Delta blues pianist and 2004 Grammy Award for Lifetime Achievement winner Joe Willie Perkins “Pinetop Perkins” has passed away today at the age of 97.

Being a self-taught musician, he had told the Associated Press:  “I didn’t get no schooling.  I come up the hard way in the world.”  Despite this, his music was said to have influenced artists like Ike Turner and the Rolling Stones. 

According to Pinetop’s bio on his website: 

Pinetop also received a National Heritage Fellowship in 2000 from the National Endowment of the Arts. He has been featured in the documentary Piano Blues, directed by Clint Eastwood for the Martin Scorsese PBS series, The Blues. In addition, he continued to win the Blues Music Award for best blues piano every year until 2003, when he was retired from the running and the award was renamed the Pinetop Perkins Piano Player of the Year.

Warner Brothers released the final installment of the Harry Potter’s series: Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows, Part 2.  The movie, directed by David Yates, will hit theaters on July 15.  The stars include Daniel Radcliffe, Emma Watson, Bill Nighy, Alan Rickman, Rupert Grint, and many other favorites.

Actor Michael Douglas’ health continues to improve as his stage four throat cancer is in remission.  His representative Allen Burry said to RadarOnline.com: "He's doing fine, his health continues to improve and I can see the difference."

Douglas initially had a hard time forgiving doctors for missing the tumor:  He said: "I understand it's a very difficult cancer tumor to find. It was under the tongue and it's unusual, but I'm still doing my homework on it. I would say I have not forgiven... stage two would have been nicer than stage four."

WebMD went as far as to answer some questions about throat cancer following Douglas’ announcement of the disease back in September 2010.  Have you been touched by a loved one battling cancer?

Today the Black Eyed Peas (BEP)  take us to Tokyo with the Premier of their new music video called " Just Can't Get Enough " on their web site (click the link above)  The video was shot in Tokyo, Japan. The video directed by Ben Mor (“I Gotta Feeling,” “Meet Me Halfway”) was produced just one week before the tragic earthquake and tsunami hit. BEP dedicated their performance of " Just Can't Get Enough "  to the people of Japan, performed on American Idol last night. Taboo spoke about his feelings “Japan has always been my favorite place on the planet” group member . “God bless the Japanese our love goes out to them.”

Will this bother you if I show this photo?" Everybody, inclucing Selena at that point knew what ( their relationship) and who (Justin Bieber) Letterman was referring too. Wild silhouettes, interesting structural design , the visual arts, master of form: describe the concept of Roberto Capucci's sculptures or couture?  Roberto Capucci is not a household name in America, like Yves Saint Laurent, but was hailed as one of the two rising couture stars in the 1960's.

An, Exhibit coming to One of the largest museums in the U. S. will explore his fashion as art in the city of Philadelphia. The exhibit will feature over eighty of Capucci's works. Mr. Cuppucci's designs were worn by Gloria Swanson and Maryilyn Monroe and many ladies of the aristocratic Italian elite.( to see more, click the Links above)  So, Can Fashion be considered Art ?

Although this is not the Philadelphia Exhibit, Watch and See his designs at a museum honoring his name.

People are making a mad dash for iodine pills. The U.S. west coast is facing  concerns about a radioactive cloud From Japan ,experts are disagree about the risk.  Sales of these Iodine Pills are up in many areas of the world.  Considering the urgent need for these tablets right now, people need to be very careful of overdosing.

Check with your doctor before taking pills if you have some health concerns like asthma or if you are pregnant or nursing.  Potassium Iodine, or KI, can cause side effects like gastrointestinal distress (usually in children) and rashes.  The FDA guidelines say that KI is most effective if taken anywhere between three and four hours following exposure and should be only used to prevent a thyroid from uptaking radioactive iodine; it’s not a general radioprotective agent.  Are you worried about radiation exposure?
